L.A. County Air Show - Fox Field
L.A. County Air Show
by John Thow
We had the opportunity to get in on the fun at the first-ever Los Angeles County Air Show at Fox Field in Palmdale, CA. The show took place in March 2014 and featured the United States Navy Blue Angels as the star attraction. Since 2014, the show has been held each year and has alternated between the Blue Angels and the USAF Thunderbirds as the headliner.
With the absence of the Edwards AFB Open House and Air Show, the Fox Field event has become a welcome opportunity for the local California Aerospace community which includes NASA, Lockheed Martin, and more, to be able to reach out to the public. We really liked that the show had a variety of booths and activities from these groups and others that were different from what we typically get at other air shows. While our schedule has kept us from returning the past couple of years, we will definitely be back and recommend you give this one a try.
See you at the Air Show!
